La Crosse teacher is May Tools for Schools Winner

Keachen Abing is the latest recipient of the $500 award from WXOW, SSE Music, and Brenengen Auto. The award money will go toward buying a small screen printing set up. Abing said this will allow students to share their creativity with the community, and will help them dive deeper into extracurricular activities.

Students at 7 Rivers Community High School will be able to create unique, printed projects thanks to the Tools for Schools Award.

"We're a new school so it's our second year in existence, and to have this as a resource to provide students with another opportunity to create amazing products was super exciting," said Abing

WXOW, SSE Music, and Brenengen Auto help one teacher or class each month. This was the last award for the 2015-2016 school year but applications will be accepted throughout the summer for the 2016-2017 school year.
